HMAS Parramatta (FFH 154), an Anzac-class frigate of the Royal Australian Navy, moves closer to its Anti-Ship Missile Defence upgrade at Henderson Australia Marine Complex Common User Facility, Western Australia.

The vessel will also be undergoing docking maintenance availability and preservation works for approximately the next 12 months. Both forward and aft masts will be replaced with upgraded combat sensors and communication systems as part of the upgrade.

On 29 April 2015, HMAS Parramatta docked at the Henderson Facility to undergo ASMD upgrade and a Docking Selective Restrictive Availability. The ASMD upgrade program significantly enhances the capability of the ship’s weapons and sensors systems. In addition to this a substantial maintenance package is also completed to ensure compliance with the tenets of seaworthiness and will also change to the Navy’s new “haze grey” exterior paint colour.`
